Elders/Deacons
Knox is a member church of the Presbyterian Church (USA), with two offices of Elders and Deacons to which people may be called and ordained in order to fulfill particular functions in the church.
Elders:
Elders serve on the church’s governing board known as the Session. Together with Ministers of Word and Sacrament (the Pastor or sometimes also known as Teaching Elder) they exercise leadership, government, and discipline and have responsibilities for the life of a particular church as well as the church at large.

Deacons:
Deacons serve on the deacon board. It is the duty of the deacons, first of all, to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress both within and beyond the community of faith.
