Visiting Us

We are glad that you are thinking about coming to Knox Presbyterian Church for a visit. Here are a few helpful things we’d like you to know about our congregation:

Our Location:

Arrival:

1.)  Parking: We have a parking lot with ample parking.

2.)  Entrance: Please enter the church using the entrance directly off the parking lot.  When you enter the building come up the small flight of stairs where at the top you will find a place to hang your coat, the entrance to our worship space, as well as the child care room.

3.)  Handicap Accessibility:  There is a handicap accessible ramp and entrance to the church.  It is around the corner from the parking lot on the front side of the building.

4.)  Bathrooms: There are separate bathrooms for men and women located downstairs.  There is also a small bathroom upstairs in the child care room which you may use if you find stairs difficult to navigate.   Alternatively, we have an assisted lift device for handicap persons who need to go downstairs.

When you are here:

1.) Someone will greet you and provide you with a bulletin detailing our order of worship, announcements, and other important information.

2.)  We are a small congregation hoping to grow.  Currently, you can expect about 65 people in worship from a wide variety of ages and from all walks of life.

3.)  We try to stay away from words like “traditional” or “contemporary” but we generally sing hymns and an occasional praise chorus, we say written prayers together during the service, we read scripture, and the Pastor shares about a 15-20 minute message.

4.)  We share communion together on the 1st Sunday of the month and on other special occasions.  All baptized persons, including children, are welcome to participate.

Children in Worship:

1.)  While we do provide childcare during the worship service, many folks who worship with us choose to have their young children participate with them during the service.

2.)  There is a children’s message during the service in which kids are invited forward for a special message geared especially toward them.

3.)  There is a small room in the back of the sanctuary with a window open to the sanctuary and equipped with speakers.  If you feel your child is being disruptive or if you need a separate space during the service to care for the needs of your child, please feel free to use that room.
